StormIT is a Czech company that helps companies from all over the world to fully exploit the potential of cloud technologies. As a certified AWS Advanced partner, it can handle not only cloud migration, but also complete management of AWS cloud infrastructure or training of internal employees. StormIT therefore provides highly professional services that are usually quite comprehensive.
Project challenges
From a marketing point of view, working with such a client is a challenge mainly because a binding request for such services is usually preceded by a relatively long decision-making process involving several people. Moreover, competition in the industry is very strong – there are several giants with established brands on the market.
Starting position
Start of cooperation: May 2021 (cooperation still ongoing)
At the beginning of the cooperation, the client functioned mainly through referrals. However, he wanted to reach other potential customers through online marketing. He had briefly used the services of a competing agency, but was not satisfied with the communication, so he decided to ask us.

(As of January 2023, we are no longer actively working on traffic growth, but are focusing mainly on adjusting the Czech version of the website and reaching local customers.)
At the beginning of our cooperation, the website was visited by a maximum of less than a dozen users per day. Now the average weekday traffic is around 800 users. The client regularly receives relevant leads via forms on the website.
However, the strength of the optimized website does not end there. Based on the quality of the blog articles, the company was approached by one of its existing employees who said he would be interested in working with them, which is a very nice benefit in an industry where good experts are relatively scarce.

Long-term cooperation with Avedeo has brought us not only an overall increase in website traffic, but also gradually relevant users and leads who have become paying customers.

How did we proceed?
In the first phase, we had almost no data to work from, so we tested different channels – LinkedIn advertising, PPC search advertising and started working on search engine optimization continuously. We found that paid advertising did not pay off for the client in the beginning, mainly because of the strong competition that was significantly raising the cost per click. Therefore, we decided to focus all our attention on search engine optimization, where we discovered great potential.
Our first step was to build a quality blog section on the site. We focused mainly on more general and less competitive topics. Very soon we could see the first results – the site started ranking in searches and traffic flowed to it. The first leads also came in, but they were not of very high quality. We knew that more traffic would be needed to get leads.
In the second step, we focused on more specific articles and optimizing the individual service pages. Traffic started to grow and with it the quality of leads. The real turning point, however, came when the client decided on a new website at our recommendation. We were available throughout the entire process, so the switch to the new solution and the change of URLs did not cause any drop in traffic (which normally happens). The new technical solution, site design and quality optimization of the site were the gateway to not only further increase traffic, but also to maximum relevant leads.
Conclusion
The client is satisfied in the long term. Although our primary focus is on SEO, they can also consult with us at any time for other strategic marketing decisions. Traffic to the site is steadily increasing, even though we are not currently taking concrete steps to increase it, but are working on other aspects of the site.
